Abstract: This session shows attendees what relative estimation is, how it is different than precise estimating and how teams can use its empiricism to provide substantially more accurate delivery predictions at a much earlier stage of the project.
Learning Objectives: Attendees will leave understanding relative estimating, precise estimating, empiricism, extrapolation techniques and self-correcting models.
About the Speaker: Mark Layton, aka Mr. Agile®, is an over 20-year project management veteran and Project Management Institute instructor who saw the value of bringing a higher level of professionalism and more structured implementation of agile approaches. He is the Founder of Platinum Edge and is also the co-author of Agile Project Management and Scrum for Dummies books.
