Platinum Edge, Inc. was pleased to attend the Young Legends Youth Technology Conference in Diamond Bar, CA on December 1, 2012. The objective of the conference was to expose middle and high school students to various areas of technology with the goal of increasing interest in studying science, technology, engineering, and math.
The Los Angeles Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI-LA) co-sponsored the conference, which included a keynote speaker, two 45-minute workshops, vendor/exhibitor interactions, and much more.
As part of the event, PMI Los Angeles presented “Mark Layton Awards” to a select number of lucky and deserving middle school and high school students. Unlike a conventional award in the form of a trophy or certificate, the awards were two laptop computers and a Samsung tablet and several gift certificates. “In this day and age, that’s what students need most – access to technology – to ensure they succeed in the future,” said Mark, Platinum Edge’s founder and principal.
Platinum Edge was honored to attend this event and is looking forward to continuing our support for Young Legends in the future.
